Make the recycling promise! - Monday, November 16, 2015

The recycling industry is going through a natural evolution. The Town's recycling contractor, Waste Management, is committed to leading the way to focus on a recycling model that is sustainable and successful to everyone.  As part of their commitment to recycling, Waste Management introduced Recycle Often. Recycle RightSM (RORR). This educational campaign focuses on bringing residents and businesses back to the basics of recycling. By increasing the amount of paper, cans, and bottles that go into the recycling cart and decreasing contamination, we can make a huge difference.

Make a promise today to recycle more often to help make the Town of Dobson more sustainable and enjoyable!  Click here to make the promise and learn more about this important campaign.  Also, be sure to stop by Town Hall to pick up educational materials pertaining to the Town's recycling program!

The Town's Yard Sale Ordinance has changed!!!! - Monday, March 24, 2014

The Town Board, after much research by Town staff, has modified the Town's yard sale ordinance.  Residents are no longer required to obtain a permit to hold a yard sale in a residentially zoned district.  Yard sales have been banned altogether in commercially zoned districts, with a couple exceptions for sales benefiting a charity or non-profit.  Please read the new ordinance below.
